In 2003, the US invaded Iraq. More than two decades later, we still deploy troops and the war's legacies ripple. Someone Will Remember Us offers the rare story of the ongoing fallout both for those who served and for the civilians caught up in the conflict. This poignant 90-minute play is distilled from dozens of interviews with US military veterans; a Gold Star family; Iraqi civilians; and refugees who have relocated to America––ordinary individuals remarkable in their perseverance, and all now searching for a little bit of peace.

“Unforgettable…a powerful world premiere.”
–The Boston Globe
“We go to the theatre for many reasons. Sometimes, we crave the spectacle of a Broadway musical; sometimes, we seek the grip of a powerful drama. And sometimes, we go to hear the unvarnished truth about a time and place, spoken in the language of those who lived it. That’s exactly what Someone Will Remember Us—a crisp, tightly staged world premiere—delivers…The storytelling is expertly constructed—carefully interwoven to highlight parallel experiences and paced for maximum impact.
At its best, theatre brings untold stories into the light. This production does exactly that, with raw authenticity, deep empathy, and a commitment to truth. You’ll find dark humor, you’ll almost certainly cry, and you’ll walk away with something weightier than just an evening’s entertainment. Recommended.”
–Broadway World
“The show feels like The Laramie Project and Come From Away, with a similar storytelling style and characters doubling up on some roles, and also in the way that it manages to telegraph unspeakable loss alongside the indomitability of the human spirit…It’s raw, creative, highly relevant, packed with talent and not to be missed.”
